For 'What is that?' or "What is This?' finish the sign by pointing to the object.

Who?
I prefer this sign as the Makaton version is very similar to 'What' and can lead to confusion.
Point your hand to who you are asking about (person, photo...) and wiggle you fingers.
Where?
